FirstView Awarded $13.5 Million Contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs

Company to Provide Full Life-Cycle Information Technology Support to the VA Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI) Program

NORTH BETHESDA, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 06/04/12 -- FirstView Federal TS (FirstView), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) Prime Contract Holder, has been awarded a $13.5 Million contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide information technology support to the VA Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI) Program. The contract has a base period of performance from March 30, 2012 through March 29, 2013 and two options to renew through March of 2015 for a total value of $13.5 million, if all options are exercised.

The mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs' Office of Information & Technology (OIT), in partnership with the Office of Research and Development (ORD), is to provide benefits and services to Veterans of the United States. In meeting these goals, OIT and ORD strive to provide high quality, effective, and efficient Information Technology (IT) services in support of research that will benefit Veterans. The VINCI Program is the analytical arm of the partnership with the Corporate Data Warehouse. The VINCI Program provides computing resources, software tools, and data management services and support for Research and other Program Offices.

In 2011, FirstView was selected as one of the awardees under the T4 contract vehicle to provide a wide array of IT services including program management and strategy planning, systems and software engineering, enterprise networks, cyber security, operation and maintenance and IT facilities. The T4 program is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, multiple-award task order contract that has a five-year base period with a program ceiling of $12 billion.
